A non-directional tyre tread is the standard tyre pattern designed to function equally well in any rotational direction, meaning it can be mounted on a wheel regardless of which way it faces. The tyre tread design is the same on both sides and differs from Asymmetric and Directional tyres that need to be fitted in a particular way. The non directional tyre is New Zealand’s most common pattern and allows for more flexibility in tyre rotation. This type of tyre is often seen on older model cars, and vehicles fitted with All Terrain and Mud tyres.
